Is it ok to put a lamp in a restroom while taking a steamy shower?

The lights in my bathroom (and my room) don't work and there are no windows.. so when I shower tomorrow, will the lamp (connected to an extension cord, btw) be ok in the steam? Or would it short circuit or something?
